MEET TONY: Husband, Father, and Business Owner
Tony attended Bethel Park high school and was the first in his family to graduate from college. He recieved a degree in journalism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1988 after serving in the US Navy. He returned to the district as a permanent resident and business owner in 1991, opening Spaghetti Benders in downtown Indiana with little more than the pots and pans from his house. He and his wife, Cherry, now own the restaurant together
Tony, Cherry, and their daughter Monica live in White Township. Monica is an education student at IUP and coaches dance at Indiana High School. Tony also proudly helped to raise Cherry's first three children, Odessa, Crystal, and Martin. Tony has volunteered with the Indiana YMCA and Big Brothers, Big Sisters. He is active in the Indiana Players, is on the committee for the Northern Appalachian Folk Festival, and serves on the board of the Chevy Chase Center in Indiana.
